GAIT DISTURBANCES & ASSISTIVE DEVICES
The AMA Guides 5th Edition describes very exact procedures for the determination of Permanent Impairment due to "abnormal gait." This is found in Chapters 13, 15, and 17. Yet, many QME Doctors do not actually do a formal gait analysis and, many of the Permanent Impairments related to "abnormal gait" REQUIRE an actual observation of the gait. How is this done in the context of the QME examination? The very best evaluators do a formal gait analysis which includes an actual observation of the gait. This Program reviews the Permanent Impairments related to "abnormal gait and then, shows you HOW the formal gait analysis is done in the face to face meeting with the injured worker.
